*PLAYOFFS*
Game 5

Rally Hat!!
Our boys needed some help...

Say Goodbye Jeff!!! It's the last game of the season. :-(

My dad got Jeff and I tickets to the 2008 playoff games. Each ticket was for both of our birthdays this year. And although our boys didn't give their best, we had a wonderful time together and it was an awesome experience.

AND....the Phillies are off to the World Series ( blah)

Happy THREE Years Together!
Can you believe 3 years has passed by already?
It feels like yesterday I was the front desk girl at Mavericks gym and I saw Jeff working out, and I thought to myself, "Isn't he a cutie!!" I took a long shot and asked him out on a date, to my surprise he said yes and we've been together ever since.
Our first date:
I asked Jeff to drive into Santa Barbara (where I lived at the time) so I could cook him dinner. I remember him asking if he could bring anything.. Being a complete dork, I asked him to bring a pineapple, as a joke! He of course showed up early with a pineapple in one hand and PJ's in the other! We ate dinner, watched a movie, played "Sorry"
(Which by the way he completely kicked my butt! Which is impressive because "Sorry" Is my game...ask anyone! I never loose..until Jeff came around.)
I remember at the end of the night he was a gentleman and said goodnight.
Our Second Date:
The next afternoon Jeff and I spent some time together at the beach, talking and getting to know one another better. We discovered that we both share a love for the Dodgers and decided it would be a lot of fun to head to a game! The next evening we went to our first of many Dodger games! (We've been to A LOT!!)
The moment we arrived until the time we drove back into Ventura was completely A.M.A.Z.I.N.G! We got lucky everywhere we went! The game was free, we got lost going home, but strangely found a highway which connected us to the restaurant we wanted to eat at, which also gave us free milkshakes and Dodger stuff! (The entire night rocked!) My favorite moment of the entire evening was our first KISS! Jeff asked an usher to take our photograph and right as he took the picture, Jeff Kissed me for the first time...So, I have our first kiss on film. :-) After that...we've been inseparable!
Jeffrey:
The picture below is a pure example of why I love him as much as I do. Glancing at him for even a short moment, my heart feels at peace. His beautiful smile (He'll argue me on that one) and loving eyes are enough for me to be completely joyful. I enjoy how relaxed he is about life and how he takes things one step at a time. He tries to enjoy each moment for what it is with as little effort as possible. He reminds me daily that it's OK to slow down, relax and enjoy the simplicity that each day has to offer.

Our tent was to the right of us and behind us is the beautiful view we were blessed to enjoy; each morning, afternoon and evening together!

Jeffrey reading in the tent.
(He looked so handsome, I had to take his picture)We're happy to get away for a few days and enjoy the quiet breeze of the lake!
(Life's been stressful lately and we needed some quiet time)

Firefighter Reed

Congrats Firefighter Jeffrey G. Reed
June 6Th 2008, Jeff graduated the Ventura County Fire academy.
He was hired with Ventura City Fire, but city, county and Carp fire attend the same academy.
These picture were taken at his graduation.

The day after his graduation, Mamma' Melody and I planned a graduation BBQ for Jeff.
(Corey, Tracey, Heather, Jeff, Josh and Caleb at the Reeds)

Jeff is currently in his second segment and had his first structure fire today!!!! I am so proud of him for all his recent accomplishments. He's worked incredibly hard to reach this point and he is doing a wonderful job. We have a long year ahead of us as he completes his probation year, but it's exciting that we've reached this point and he will be moving along much quicker than it feels.

I LOVE Substitute Teaching 2008

January of 2008 I was offered a substitute teaching position at FBDS. My Friend Jodi is the Master teacher in the four's class, but has been away from work since January. I have had the privilege to work with her children and fall in love with them. I've been so excited to wake up every morning and spend my day with twelve of the most adorable children in the world
(no joke) :-)
St. Patty's Day
I brought in Lady Bugs for the children to play with.
My friend Chloe decided it would be fun to put one on my nose. I agree, it was fun!
Messing around in the play yard
Easter Party!!
Detroit!! He's wearing a Tigers hat also.
In March I spent some time discussing caterpillars and their
development/transformation into Butterflies. I told the children
if I could get my hands on some real ones I would.
I ordered some painted Lady Butterflies and our class raised a successful
FIVE! Their Names were: Nail Beetle, Richard, Goosey, Lucy and Ella!!
(the children choose the names)
Once the caterpillars went through their stages and reached the final stage
I told the children we would have a butterfly party to celebrate
their release into nature.
(class photo with antennas)

I believe this was Nail Beetle (broken wing)
I Can't wait for my own classroom!!
